Cornelia Connelly Hospital is a non-governmental organization located in Gidan Mangoro, an Abuja suburb in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), advancing the work of Jesus Christ through healing of the sick and empowering of the most vulnerable people in our society. The poor and vulnerable population in our setting deserves a healthcare system that provides high-quality care at a reasonable cost
Before the centre was established, many people received treatment at Loyola Jesuit College. As the school community grew, the Sisters worked with local leaders to build a dedicated clinic to serve the wider population.
This is the rational that birthed Cornelia Connelly Hospital to better serve the growing number of high-need patients. Fortunately, efforts have been largely effective and highly coordinated with our services, resulting in great outcomes and saving cost of care for our poor and vulnerable targeted populations.
To make progress, we need to work together as a compassionate team to know more about the people with the most significant healthcare needs and the services they use; identify and validate the care delivery models that generate above-average health outcomes at lower-than-average costs; and transfer the knowledge and know-how to promote their broad adoption so that the models of excellence can become the community standard.

Cornelia Connelly Hospital will strive to provide quality and holistic healthcare that is affordable and sustainable to all her patients.
Therefore, the Sisters of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, in an effort to meet the crying need of this area for good healthcare services, have with the financial assistance of our funding partners built this small but first class medical center here in the village of Gidan Mangoro.
This healthcare center is named after the Foundress of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, Venerable Cornelia Connelly; an American who founded the society in England in 1846. As part of our goal, we ensure we hire medical personnel who will be always available to the people in need of good medical attention.
Our main objective, therefore, is to provide better, affordable and accessible healthcare services for the residents of Gidan Mangoro and the surrounding areas.The Society of the Holy Child Jesus, an International congregation of women religious, for the past ninety years, has continued to carry out its mission in Africa through its unique philosophy of education in the educational, pastoral, medical, and social fields encapsulated in its mission statement, "To help others to believe that God lives and acts in them and in our world, and to rejoice in his presence."
